Ingredients
Butter 3 tbsp or Ghee 3 tbsp
Green Cardamom 2
Cinnamon 1 small piece
Cloves 2
Bay leaf 1
Green chilly 1
Onion coarsely chopped 1 (1 cup)
Big tomatoes chopped into big pieces 6 (800 gm) 4 cups
Ginger coarsely chopped 1 “ piece
Cashewnuts coarsely crushed 12
Salt to taste (about 1 ¼ tsp)
Red chilli powder 1 tsp or to taste
Honey 1 tbsp
Paneer Cubes
Steps
Soak the frozen paneer in a bowl of hot water.
Heat butter/ghee (clarified butter) in a wok.
Add green cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf to it. Saute for a few seconds
Now add green chilli and onions.
Sauté till onions are translucent. Then add cashew, garlic and ginger
Sauté till the onion turn only slightly brown.
Add red chili powder, coriander powder, salt and cook for a minute.
Add the tomatoes. Let it cook for a few minutes.
Add water and cover the pan. Let it cook on medium-low heat for 10-15 minutes. The tomatoes should look soft.
